Dr. Oetker Professional – the pizza and baking specialist – has joined the Soil Association’s Food for Life Supplier Scheme to help caterers put tasty and sustainable meals at the heart of their menus.

Chicago Town Balanced Choice Pizza, Raw Dough Pizza Base and Wellcare mixes have all been recognised as meeting the Food for Life Served Here standards. Caterers can now use these products to help them achieve a Food for Life Served Here award.

To achieve the bronze Food for Life Served Here award, the Balanced Choice Pizza, Fresh Dough Pizza Base and Wellcare mixes all meet the independent schemes standards by ensuring they do not contain any undesirable food additives, hydrogenated fats or GM ingredients.<.p>

Developed for schools, the Balanced Choice pizza brings the famous Chicago Town brand to pupils and helps satisfy the demand for products that they know and want. The pizza supports the School Food Plan by keeping fat and saturated fat levels to a minimum and delivers a fully topped consistent result to support school caterers during a busy service.

Caterers across all sectors can also bring the popular dish to their menus whilst meeting Food for Life Served Here standards. Dr. Oetker Professional’s Fresh Dough Pizza Base guarantees a high quality, authentic result every time without the hassle of dough pucks, allowing caterers to simply add their ingredients to the frozen raw dough pizza base and bake in the oven in as quickly as three minutes.

The Wellcare range allows healthcare caterers to provide a variety of desserts and cakes that cater for a range of dietary requirements. With reduced sugar, no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, caterers can choose from a selection of custard, jellies, dessert and cake mixes including a gluten free sponge cake option.
